16 Anonymous FTP Service
In addition to Administrative FTP, which is used to upload and download content to your NT server, the BLUEHILL.com NT Advantage Plus and the BLUEHILL.com NT Advantage Pro both include anonymous FTP service.
Anonymous FTP is a type of access that allows someone to connect to your NT server through an FTP client and retrieve files from the ftp directory of your NT server without the need for a username and password.
Whenever you upload anonymous FTP files through your FTP client program, make sure to connect to your domain.com, where domain.com is your actual domain name. You can upload and download files directly through your Anonymous FTP.
Anonymous FTP cannot be configured to allow uploads and downloads to the same directory at the same time.
16.1 Obtaining an FTP Client
An FTP client greatly facilitates FTP transfers between your Web server and your personal computer. An FTP client is a program that runs on your local computer and interacts with your Web server’s FTP service. Most FTP programs have graphical interfaces that make it easy to transfer and manipulate files.
